Dean Mumm (captain of Exeter Chiefs) is of the opinion that Exeter Chiefs have the ability to be a part of the play-offs in the Aviva Premiership. He strongly believes this because Exeter Chiefs are in the third position in the overall standing of the 2014-2015 Aviva Premiership.

The month of November has been quite lucky for Exeter Chiefs because they have been able to defeat the 2013-2014 Aviva Premiership champions-Northampton Saints and also the runners-up of the same season- Saracens. Exeter Chiefs have also won matches against Wasps and Bath in November.

Recent successes of Exeter Chiefs are founded firmly on the years and years of commitment, effort and dedicated work on the part of each and every person associated with the rugby team.

Exeter Chiefs have never got a chance to participate in the play-offs of the Premiership as they never reached the top four positions in the overall standings. However, this season the team is aiming to reach one of the top four positions so that it can perform in the play-offs.

According to Mumm, Exeter Chiefs can surely make it to the top four positions but then they will have to be consistent in their performance. If they fail to perform well then they will not be able to maintain their top four positions.

Only winning two or three matches against the teams which are leading the Premiership table is not enough. Exeter Chiefs have to learn to sustain their winnings and defend themselves in the best possible manner.

If you look at the Premiership table then you will notice that Exeter Chiefs is closely followed by Saracens and Leicester Tigers. These two teams have been a part of the play-offs in the 2013-2014 Aviva Premiership.

Dean Mumm believes that the team has to pull up it socks to beat the leading four clubs.
